Special Holiday Programs
In addition to this versatile groups adult concerts, kids school programs, and private parties, you can choose from the following programs (or even suggest one not listed below!)
Blending Winter Seasonal music with the holiday music of Jews and Christians makes this program a wonderful end-of-the-year change of pace. Who else but this group could present a Bulgarian Sephardic Jewish Chanukah song (with audience sing along!) followed by a Danish song about Julenisse right behind Noras Freezin On The Trolley, the classic Walt Kelly humorous version of Deck The Halls
In 2002 the City of Zion awarded Jutta & the Hi-Dukes Best Animation Act of the citys Jubilee Day Parade. Why? The Hi-Dukes actually WALK! Of course, their energetic immigrant music fits right in with the spirit of both July 4th and Labor Day festivities, but any parade will be livened up by this fun marching group.
The French celebrate Bastille Day on July 14th to commemorate the establishment of democracy and the liberation of their country from feudalism. Jutta & the Hi-Dukes has developed a French language presentation which ranges from Medieval times to popular swing tunes and from Bretagne to right here in Americas Cajun country. Eclectic and fresh, this program will surprise and please everyone from the Francophile to the casual listener.
German music with a twist perfect for the beer fest and more. Lighter in sound than the typical Bavarian Oom-Pah bands, the Hi-Dukes have come up with a unique blend of old and new drinking song favorites and sophisticated songs, right alongside the dance rhythms of polka, waltz, landler, zweifacher, and more.
